In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs, running, spending time outside, and watching Clemson Football.

Dr. Ben Pettus

Ben Pettus agreed to volunteer and serve on the CCS Board of Directors because of his gratitude for the years of sacrifice his family and teachers made during his childhood while attending a Christian School.  He experienced firsthand the value of a small school setting and the tremendous benefits that can come from passionate and inspiring teachers.

Ben has been faithfully married since 2002 and has six children, three of whom are currently attending Covenant Christian School. He enjoys family time, home remodeling, time in nature, and travel. His greatest prayer is that believers will trust and obey/listen to God, especially as He leads us to sacrificially love and help others.

Ben graduated Summa Cum Laude from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, with a Bachelor’s in Biology and Chemistry. He received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Bio-Pathology/Biochemistry. He then earned his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed his transitional internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. His post graduate training included a residency in diagnostic radiology followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Mammography and Breast Imaging from the Mallinckrot Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Currently, he is a board certified Multi-Speciality Radiologist, working within the Riverside Health System as a partner/employee of Peninsula Radiological Associates.

With more than 20 years of experience in the mechanical repair and maintenance industry, Brad has worked in Dominion Energy’s fleet division since 2016. He gave his life to the Lord in 2006 and is very active at Foundations Church Williamsburg, serving in several leadership capacities there. In his free time, Brad enjoys tinkering
