Dr. Ben Pettus
Ben Pettus agreed to volunteer and serve on the CCS Board of Directors because of his gratitude for the years of sacrifice his family and teachers made during his childhood while attending a Christian School. He experienced firsthand the value of a small school setting and the tremendous benefits that can come from passionate and inspiring teachers.
Ben has been faithfully married since 2002 and has six children, three of whom are currently attending Covenant Christian School. He enjoys family time, home remodeling, time in nature, and travel. His greatest prayer is that believers will trust and obey/listen to God, especially as He leads us to sacrificially love and help others.
Ben graduated Summa Cum Laude from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, with a Bachelor’s in Biology and Chemistry. He received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Bio-Pathology/Biochemistry. He then earned his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed his transitional internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. His post graduate training included a residency in diagnostic radiology followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Mammography and Breast Imaging from the Mallinckrot Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
