Welcome Back to School!

I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!
Psalm 34:1-3

Dear Covenant Family,

After what has seemed to be a long season of isolation, we are so excited to re-open our doors to our CCS families next week!  God created us to dwell in community,  and we are looking forward to being reunited on September 8!

God has abundantly provided for CCS over the past few months. I am so very thankful for the following:

– We were able to have a virtual fundraiser!  Thank you to everyone who participated in this project.  I am grateful for the donors who were prompted to give to CCS.

– A godly Board of Directors. They have spent countless hours with me this past summer as we constructed a safe reopening plan for optimum learning. They have supported and encouraged me beyond measure.

– Teachers who sacrificed their summer vacation and personal resources to ensure their classroom is ready for their students.  They have displayed an unwavering commitment to CCS.

– God has seen fit to bring new families to our CCS community!  Please join me in welcoming them and assimilating them. We are so glad you are here!  I pray we may be a blessing to you and your children.

-Generous parents who gave time to outdoor projects and supplied sunshades and umbrellas to create outdoor learning spaces!

In anticipation of our first day of school, you are all invited to the First CCS Annual Chalk Walk! We want to write encouraging words, draw pictures, and write scripture all over our sidewalks so that students will feel truly welcomed on the first day of school. Please stop by the school any time on Sunday or Monday.  Write and draw as much as you like!  Feel free to bring your own sidewalk chalk or use the chalk provided on the porch.

I look forward to greeting you from the porch on the first day of school!

Blessings,

Carolyn Griffith
