The Covenant Chronicle – 3/26/20

Good morning, Covenant families!

The building certainly is quiet without our students and teachers! While we miss each and every one of you, we are grateful for the blessings of technology and the gifts of creativity God has given us to get through this temporary separation. Great is His faithfulness!

As you know, Governor Northam has asked all Virginia public and private schools to maintain distance learning for the remainder of the academic year, and CCS is complying with this request and with all requirements to maintain social distancing and limit group contact while they remain in effect. While we cannot gather together for the time being, we do have opportunities to work in harmony over the next few weeks. All teachers are working diligently to learn new technology and implement lessons for their students and these will continue as usual. As mentioned earlier in the week, we can all begin working together/apart to prepare the gardens for the growing season. Mrs. Perreault has created a sign-up genius which can be accessed HERE. We look forward to seeing things begin to bloom over the coming weeks!

Next week we will share resources so that we can still “Flower the Cross” and proclaim the resurrection of our Lord and Savior and the eternal hope of the gospel even in the midst of a difficult season.

Please enjoy this week’s edition of the Covenant Chronicle, which will continue to come to you on a regular basis. We also plan to pause learning as planned for Spring Break the week of April 6-10, so that teachers and students can rest and refresh from preparations and lessons.

Our prayers are for each and every one of you to remain healthy and to take the opportunity of a greatly slowed lifestyle to connect with one another in meaningful ways.
