Alison Liggin, Middle School Teacher

Alison is an Alabama native and attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. There she received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies and her M.Ed in Community Counseling. After finishing graduate school in 2001, she moved to Columbus, Georgia to begin her counseling career in residential treatment for adolescent females and practiced as a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia for 7 years. Alison and her husband Fred have been married for 16 years and have one son (Ian, age 11). After serving together in campus ministry in both Georgia and Texas, they moved to Williamsburg in 2010 for Fred’s current role as lead pastor at Williamsburg Christian Church. Alison worked as a reading recovery tutor at James River Elementary before joining our CCS team in 2017. She is now beginning her fourth year as the middle school Humanities teacher at CCS. Alison enjoys reading, photography, Auburn football, playing basketball with her son, and drinking coffee with her husband.
